Tim Cook was Managing Director of Isis Innovation (Oxford’s technology transfer company) for ten years and later non-executive Director. He will drive forward the technology development mission of the Hub. The Lambert Review noted in 2003 that under his leadership Isis was “one of the country’s most prolific technology transfer offices”. He has an outstanding record of managing technology companies; has been the founding CEO of two, including Oxford Asymmetry, an Oxford spin-out; and is also a non-executive director of Oxford Gene Technology. He was Visiting Professor of Science Entrepreneurship at The Said Business School and now advises universities in the UK and abroad on technology transfer and innovation.
