We have formed a collaboration with instrumentation giant, Bruker Corporation, to explore the quantum properties of diamond for medical sensing.

The quantum spins in diamond with Nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centres can be used as a single photon source for quantum computing as well as a magnetic sensor - NQIT works on both research applications.
