The University of Bristol’s Quantum Technology Enterprise Centre (QTEC) is dedicated to developing the Quantum Entrepreneurs of the future who will drive the growth of the UK’s quantum industry. It helps provide researchers with the skills and resourse necessary to take their ideas from the lab to industry application.  

In this short talk Dr Neil Carhart will describe the journey of some of QTEC’s alumni, from completing their PhDs to launching their own companies. The lessons they learnt along the way highlight the many routes available post-PhD, and are useful to anyone who wants to start their own business, work closer with industry, commercialise their research or increase its impact.

It will also be an opportunity discuss your business ideas and to find out more about QTEC’s upcoming Quantum Start Up Week (10th -13th July).
