Jonathan Barrett is Associate Professor of Computer Science at Oxford, a member of the Department of Computer Science’s Quantum Group, and a Visiting Fellow at the Perimeter Institute, Canada. He leads a team working on theoretical problems in quantum information science. These range from applications of quantum technologies, such as quantum cryptography, to the use of techniques from information theory to address fundamental problems in our understanding of the quantum world. He is currently PI on various projects funded by the EPSRC and the Foundational Questions Institute.
