Peter works on superconducting electrical circuits that we might be able to use for new technologies like quantum computing. In particular he works on solid state quantum systems that operate at microwave frequencies, cooling them down to temperatures of ~10 mK to study them in the quantum regime.

Peter is the founder of Oxford Quantum Circuits Ltd, a new spinout company designing and manufacturing quantum computing components based on superconducting circuits.
